Intel confirms it "sells" and "shares" personal information for targeted advertising, and gives you a way out — but the opt-out is stored in your browser instead of tied to your account. Clear your cookies, use a different browser, or pick up your phone, and the sharing quietly starts again unless you opt out all over again. The rights themselves are a plus; this is the friction attached to them.
“Note that you will need to renew this opt-out choice if you visit our website from another device or browser or if you clear your cookies because your opt-out choice will be linked to your browser only.”
What you can do — Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser (built into Firefox, Brave, and DuckDuckGo, or via extension) so the opt-out applies automatically — otherwise use the "Your Privacy Choices" footer link on every browser and device you use, and again after clearing cookies.
