A new way for event organizers to get your email addressMINOR
DATA SHARING
Your email can now reach an organizer through a marketing sign-up, not just an event registration. This only happens if you actively choose it, and you can still unsubscribe from any organizer email. The risk is small but real: it is one more path by which a third party ends up holding your contact details.
“If you registered for an event on the Services, or chose to receive marketing communications from an Organizer, your email address is available to that Organizer.”
What you can do — Only tick the "receive marketing" box for organizers you actually want to hear from, and use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of an organizer's email to stop them.

OTHER
For marketing subscriptions, Eventbrite says the organizer is the one legally responsible for your data, and Eventbrite is just the delivery service. That means if you want your data deleted or corrected, you may have to chase the organizer instead of Eventbrite, which can be slower and less reliable.
“that Organizer is the data controller of your marketing subscription and we act as a data processor in collecting your consent and delivering those communications on the Organizer's behalf”
What you can do — If you want a marketing subscription deleted, contact the organizer directly; if they do not respond, email privacy@eventbrite.com.
