Privacy Policy

MINOR
DATED 2026-08-25 · VERSION 20260825_rev01 · FIRST CAPTURED VERSION

What changed, in plain language

Canva replaced the privacy@canva.com email address with an online legal request form throughout the policy, and removed one bullet point that spelled out the right to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. No changes were made to what data Canva collects, how it shares data, or how long it keeps it.

Changes that may affect you

You can no longer email Canva about privacy — you must use their web formMINOR
OTHER

Canva removed its privacy email address from every part of the policy and replaced it with an online form. A form is often easier, but it also means you have to use Canva's system on their terms. You lose a simple email paper trail, and if the form is down, broken, or asks for information you don't want to give, there's no listed email fallback. A postal address is still listed, but mailing a letter is slow.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the Service, or wish to make a complaint please contact us [here(opens in a new tab or window)](https://www.canva.com/help/legal-form/).

What you can do — If you submit a privacy request, take a screenshot or save a copy of what you send through the form at https://www.canva.com/help/legal-form/, and note the date, so you have your own record.

The plain statement of your access, correction, and deletion rights was deletedMINOR
OTHER

The policy used to say clearly, in the section about your choices, that you could ask Canva for your data, ask to correct it, or ask to delete it. That line is gone. Canva did not say it is taking those rights away, and the policy still describes similar rights for people in Europe and in some U.S. states. But if you live somewhere those sections don't cover, the policy no longer tells you these options exist, which makes them easier to miss.

- You can request access, correction or deletion of the data Canva holds on you by contacting privacy@canva.com; and

What you can do — You can still request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data through the form at https://www.canva.com/help/legal-form/ — the removal of this line does not mean you have to stop asking.

  2. ± CHANGEDPrivacy email replaced with an online form everywhere

Every place that used to say to email privacy@canva.com now points to an online legal request form instead. This covers opting out of marketing data, cookie questions, third-party data enrichment opt-outs, EU/UK data rights requests, withdrawing consent, objecting to processing, U.S. state privacy rights, "do not sell or share" opt-outs, reporting a child's data, and school requests for student data.

you can opt out at any time by emailing us at privacy@canva.com.

you can opt out at any time by contacting us [here(opens in a new tab or window)](https://www.canva.com/help/legal-form/).

  3. − REMOVEDBullet about access, correction, and deletion rights removed

A bullet that told you plainly that you could ask Canva for a copy of your data, ask to fix it, or ask to delete it was deleted from the "Your choices about your information" section. Similar rights are still described elsewhere in the policy for people in Europe and in certain U.S. states, but the general statement that applied to everyone is gone.

    - You can request access, correction or deletion of the data Canva holds on you by contacting privacy@canva.com; and

  4. ± CHANGEDContact section no longer lists an email address

The "How to contact us" section used to give an email address for questions and complaints. It now only links to the online form, though the postal address for the Head of Privacy remains.

269269We partner with third party ad servers, ad networks and social media platforms (like Facebook, Google, LiveRamp, Outbrain, Taboola and Appsflyer) to deliver personalized advertisements ("ads") on our Service and other sites that may be of interest to you and/or to measure their effectiveness, and/or to identify potential new users of our Service.
270270
271Canva may share certain information with our third party advertising partners, such as your email address, location, cookie information and information relating to your use of our Service, and allow partners to perform a match of your information against information from other third party networks or sites to serve ads either on the Service or on third party sites (including, but not limited to Facebook, Google and Samsung televisions) and to measure the effectiveness of these ads. We also share certain information with social media platforms, such as Facebook and Tiktok, to display advertising to potential new users whose demographics and behaviour look like those of our existing users. 273273In addition, these third-party ad servers or ad networks may use technology to send, directly to your browser or mobile device, these personalized ads and ad links directly to your browser or mobile device, and will automatically receive your IP address when they do so. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, device identifiers, location data, and clear gifs) to compile information about your browser's or device's visits and usage patterns on the Service, and to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize the advertising content. Please see our [Cookies Policy(opens in a new tab or window)](https://about.canva.com/cookies-policy) for more information about how we and our third party partners use cookies and other technologies to deliver ads to you.
274274
275275Canva does not sell or rent the information we collect directly from you or about you from third parties with these third-party ad servers or ad networks for such parties' own marketing purposes.
276276
277277Please note that an advertiser may ask Canva to show an ad on the Service to a certain audience of users (e.g., based on demographics or other interests). In that situation, Canva determines the target audience and Canva serves the advertising to that audience and only provides anonymous aggregated data to the advertiser. If you respond to such an ad, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach.
