Terms of Service

DATED 2026-04-14 · VERSION 20260815_rev01 · FIRST CAPTURED VERSION

What changed, in plain language

Business Insider narrowed the list of websites these terms cover — techinsider.io and insider.com are no longer listed — and deleted the whole paragraph about the coupons site run by partner Atolls, including the links to the separate coupon terms and privacy policy. Nothing changed about your rights on the main site: arbitration, content licensing, billing and liability sections are untouched.

Changes that may affect you

You lose the pointer to the coupon site's own rules and privacy policyMINOR
OTHER

Before, the terms told you plainly that the coupon pages were operated by another company, Atolls, and gave you direct links to that company's terms and privacy policy. That disclosure is gone. If the coupon pages are still online, it is now harder to find out who is handling your data there and what rules you agreed to by using it. This is a transparency loss, not a loss of a legal right — and it may simply mean the partnership ended.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Terms of Service, your access to and use of the Coupons Site, including any content, features, functionality and services offered on or through the Coupons Site pages, is governed by the Coupons Terms of Service of Atolls

What you can do — If you use coupons.businessinsider.com, check the footer of that page for whose terms and privacy policy apply before entering an email address or personal details.

Changelog

  1. ± CHANGEDTwo websites dropped from the list of covered sites

The terms used to say they covered techinsider.io and insider.com along with businessinsider.com and markets.businessinsider.com. Those two names are gone, so the terms now only name the two remaining sites. This most likely reflects those older brands being retired or folded into the main site.

which include without limitation [www.businessinsider.com](https://www.businessinsider.com/), [www.techinsider.io](https://www.techinsider.io/), [www.insider.com](https://www.insider.com/), and [markets.businessinsider.com](https://markets.businessinsider.com/) (the "Sites")

  2. − REMOVEDCoupons site section removed entirely

The old terms explained that coupons.businessinsider.com was run by an outside company called Atolls, and pointed you to that company's separate terms and privacy policy. That whole explanation and both links are now deleted. If the coupons site is still running, you no longer get told from here who operates it or which rules and privacy policy apply to it.

We also work with Atolls who publishes and operates the websites available at [coupons.businessinsider.com](https://coupons.businessinsider.com/) (the "Coupons Site").

  3. ± CHANGED"Last updated" date moved forward
