 **Confidentiality and Account Security.** You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account Information and for all activity that occurs through your Account, whether or not authorized by you.  - **Identity Verification.** For your security, we cannot delete an Account without verifying the requestor's identity.  - **Scope of Deletion Request.** When you request Account deletion, we treat it as a request to delete the Personal Information we hold about you, subject to limited exceptions where we are required or permitted by law to retain certain information.
 - **User Generated Content.** Certain user-generated content you submitted (such as comments or posts) may remain available to preserve discussion integrity, along with your Comments Username and an indicator that your Account has been deleted.
 - **Impact of Deletion.** Deleting your Account will remove your profile and may impact your access to our Services. **_Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone._** We will delete or de-identify your Personal Information unless we are required or have a legitimate business, legal, or regulatory reason to retain certain information, such to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect our rights.
 - **Retention of Information After Deletion Request.** When you request deletion of your Account or other Personal Information, we delete or de-identify your Personal Information from our active systems once it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights. This process includes your Account profile and preferences, as well as other Personal Information we maintain about you across our systems, subject to limited exceptions required or permitted by law. Once retention is no longer necessary, we securely delete or de-identify your Personal Information so that it can no longer reasonably be used to identify you. We do not store full payment card numbers or bank account information on our own systems; such information is handled directly by our payment processors. Personal Information collected during the donation process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and may be shared with third parties as described there, including as necessary for payment processing, fraud prevention, compliance, or as required by law.
 **Not Tax-Deductible.** Donations are not tax-deductible. AP is a New York State not-for-profit corporation but does not have 501(c)(3) status under U.S. federal tax law.
