What changed, in plain language

This is the same Amazon.de advertising cookie preference page, now shown in English instead of German (the help links also point to the English versions). None of the actual advertising or cookie options changed: Amazon advertising cookies, third-party advertising cookies, use of personal information from any Amazon service, and use of demographic data from third-party advertisers all remain the same, and you can still change your preferences at any time. The one substantive difference is that the opening paragraph is gone — the part that explained that cookies and similar technologies are used for the listed purposes, that approved third parties also use them, and that your cookie choices are applied to this Amazon service (website and app) when you are signed in but may be asked again when you are signed out.
