Cookie and Data Collection Technology Notice

NOTED
DATED 2025-05-28 · VERSION 20260901_rev01 · COMPARED WITH 20260831_rev01

What changed, in plain language

The only change is a re-encoded contact email link. Acronis uses Cloudflare's email-obfuscation feature, which scrambles the address with a rotating key; the scrambled string changed but it still decodes to the same address. No terms, tracking practices, or user rights changed.

This change appears to be cosmetic (formatting, typos, or contact details).

Changelog

  1. ± CHANGEDPrivacy contact email link re-scrambled (same address)

The website hides its contact email behind a scrambling code so spam bots can't read it. That code was regenerated, so the link text looks different. Decoding both the old and new versions gives the same email address, and the surrounding sentence is unchanged.

6666Some web browsers (including Safari, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Chrome) incorporate a "Do Not Track" (**DNT**) or similar feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have his or her online activity and behavior tracked. If a website that responds to a particular DNT signal receives the DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain personal information about the browser's user. Not all browsers offer a DNT option, and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many website operators, including Acronis, do not respond to DNT signals universally or if not required by law.

6868Acronis honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar technology (e.g., Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms), as required by the U.S. State Privacy Laws.

7070Acronis relies on third-party providers for obtaining geo-IP location information about its users, including when enabling or disabling cookies and / or honoring GPC signals.
